Mura Masa at the Vogue Theatre Wednesday night.

Originally from Guernsey, UK, Mura Masa (aka Alex Crossan) takes his name from Japanese swordsmith Muramasa Sengo. Crossan is on tour for the debut Mura Masa full-length, which he released in July. He is best know for his track “Lovesick”.

The debut feature guests such as ASAP Rocky, Charli XCX, Christine and the Queens, Damon Albarn, Desiigner, and Jamie Liddell. For the touring show, Crossan has recruited vocalist Fliss

“Crossan is making the kind of genre-melding, polished-but-not-plastic pop music that fits in your stereo speakers as well as it does on a club dance floor,” writes Erika Gill at 303magazine.com in a review of a July concert in Denver.
