Japanese Breakfast played the Fox Cabaret in Vancouver on Sept. 26, 2017, while touring in support of the project’s second album, Soft Sounds from Another Planet.
Japanese Breakfast is the solo project of singer-songwriter Michelle Zauner, who released her debut album, Psychopomp, in 2016. For Soft Sounds from Another Planet, Zauner signed with Dead Oceans, also home to Mitski, with whom she toured the previous year.
Zauner is also a member of Philadelphia indie-rock band Little Big League. Originally from Eugene, Oregon, she returned to the Pacific Northwest after several years in Philadelphia.
