The Sugar Shoppe

Unsung heroes of Canadian music – The Sugar Shoppe

– by Shawn Conner

Here’s my tribute to The Sugar Shoppe, a Toronto vocal-pop act that came together in the late 1960s.

I originally became intrigued when I saw a reissue of their debut (and only) full-length, a self-titled release from Capitol. Further research uncovered a special surprise celebrity (though not at the time) in their ranks!

I’m still wondering what happened to the other members… does anyone know?
