The L.A. synth-pop duo of Angela Gail and Jeffrey Jacob had released their debut album, The Belt, the previous year. Written, recorded and produced by the pair, the album featured the single “Peaches,” which reached No. 1 on SiriusXM’s Alt Nation Alt-18 Countdown.

The duo had previously played Vancouver in 2014 while touring North America with The Airborne Toxic Event.
