Adrianne Palicki to play female lead in GI Joe: Cobra Strikes
Adrianne Palicki, whose star seemed to be shining bright when she was picked as the new TV Wonder Woman, has joined the cast of a sequel to the 2009 action flick GI Joe: Rise of Cobra. The title? GI Joe: Cobra Strikes.
Now, many among you, especially those with the Movie Channel (on which the first GI Joe flick is repeated every night), might be asking: “Why a sequel?” Well, no good reason, obviously. But since the David E. Kelley version of Wonder Woman was dropped, this at least gives Palicki an opportunity to don another goofy skin-tight suit and test her acting chops against (ahem) Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Channing Tatum.
Adrianne Palicki remains in Comic Book Movie Jail as of this writing.
