The Civil Wars, aka Joy Williams and John Paul White, at the Rio Theatre last Friday night (June 24).

The duo, formed in Nashville, first got a taste of national exposure when their song “Poison and Wine” was played on an episode of Grey’s Anatomy in 2009. They released Barton Hollow, their debut full-length, in 2011.
