Guttersnipe’s long association with the Canadian Union of Postal Workers is well-documented nowhere.

However, we are on their side (as much as we try to stay away from politics) so we had to share this photo, sent by one of our good friends who’s with CUPW. It’s of Steve Earle, in town for the jazz festival, showing his solidarity with the locked-out workers.

Reports Guttersnipe contributor (and Canada Post employee) Gina Tessaro: “He dropped by the picket line before his show, shook all of our hands and gave us a rousing pep talk that felt like a total shot in the arm after a really tough couple of weeks.  Being locked out is nothing like being on strike… what a down brother.”
