Preview – Snoop Dogg art show at the Fall Gallery, Vancouver, Nov 9 2012

Christina Chant presents a Snoop Dogg art show at the Fall Gallery Friday Nov. 9.

A few days before the show, we asked Chant via email how things were going.

“It’s been quite hectic on my end. The show is freaking awesome. We have over 100 submission, most from new
artists who haven’t contributed before. A lot of paintings, some cross-stitching, mixed media, a large blunt and matches, illustration and video work. We aren’t doing anything as big for the show as October was a bust for me so I’ve kept it simple with the art being the focus. We will have two DJs so dancing is expected.”

This marks Chant’s third pop culture art show at the downtown Vancouver gallery. Prior to this, she’s had contributors pay tribute to Bill Murray and the Spice Girls. For her first pop culture art show, she celebrated the oeuvre and dimpled chin of martial artist/actor Steven Seagal with the Steven Seagallery, an art installation at Burning Man.

Snoop Dogg art show contributors include Megan Allard, Rob Levesque, Olena Litvinenko and Cam MacLeod.
