The Head and the Heart returns to Vancouver for a set on the mainstage at the Vancouver Folk Music Festival (as well as various day-time workshops). Jonathan Russell and Josiah Johnson formed the folk-pop band in Seattle in 2009. Their self-titled debut was released in 2011 by Sub Pop. Charity Rose Thielen is the band’s violinist.
The last time they were in Vancouver, on Oct. 20 2011, the band played the Commodore Ballroom.
