Ms Pac-Man was never like this.

On Feb 10 at the Commercial Drive Legion, the VanDolls burlesque troop put on over a dozen performances inspired by video games. See childhood favourites like Super Mario, Tetris, Portal and others as you’ve never seen them before.

In a press release, VanDolls member Rufflesilkskin is quoted: “We wanted to do something fun and different to expose the art of burlesque to a crowd that may not normally see burlesque. Plus we love video games!”

Aside from the sexy/geeky burlesque numbers being performed on stage, the venue will be outfitted with vintage video game consoles for guests to play, as well as a video game costume contest, video game-themed food and drink, a photo booth and what the press release calls “the geekiest dance party in town”.
