Wild Flag played the Biltmore Cabaret last night in Vancouver, with Drew Grow and the Pastors’ Wives opening.

The new supergroup features ex-Sleater-Kinney guitarist (and current star of the hit IFC TV series Portlandia) Carrie Brownstein, ex-Helium frontwoman Mary Timony, Quasi/Jicks/Sleater-Kinney drummer Janet Weiss and, ex of The Minders, keyboardist Rebecca Cole.

The Snipe photog Anja Weber called it “the show of the year”. It was also the last of the band’s fall North American tour.
