Going in to Four Tet at the Biltmore, I was unsure of what to expect. However, a “sold out” sign was already posted at the door when we arrived at 10:30, an indication of a good night ahead.

Inside, Nathan Fake was already on deck dropping his usual brand of glitchy progressive house. Initially the crowd seemed a little uncertain of what to think of Fake’s danceable and trippy beats. Even with quite a few electronica nerds in attendance, the music seemed unusual for the Biltmore crowd. But by the end of his set Fake had everyone moving and ready for more.

After a brief break, Kieran Hebden, aka Four Tet, emerged to an eruption of energy from the audience that would set the mood for the rest of his set. Despite his mostly stationary position behind his laptop, Four Tet’s beats turned the Biltmore into a full-on dance party… complete with fist-pumping.
