Vancouver band Said the Whale played a hometown show Nov. 25.
We asked a friend, who is in a band with a similarly nautical-themed name, if he resented the success of newer, younger bands with names not dissimilar to his much more seasoned group, like maybe the whale bandwagon had passed them by.
“No, because they actually write good songs,” he told us.
Said the Whale members include Ben Worcester, Tyler Bancroft, Nathan Shaw, Spencer Schoening and Jaycelyn Brown.
