La Roux on tour for her second album, Trouble in Paradise, at the Commodore Ballroom Thursday night.
Trouble in Paradise is the British dance-pop singer’s follow-up to her self-titled 2009 debut, which sold over two million copies worldwide, and spawned the hit single “Bulletproof”.
The new album features nine new tracks written, co-produced and largely played by the multi-instrumentalist, whose real name is Elly Jackson. Guests on the album include Chilly Gonzales.
The show marks La Roux’s third (at least appearance in Vancouver); she came through town for her debut twice, once at the Biltmore Cabaret and another at the Commodore Ballroom. You can see photos from those shows here and here.
