The Harpoonist and the Axe Murderer ending their Apocalipstick Tour with a hometown show in Vancouver.

Released in March, Apocalipstick is the duo’s follow-up to 2014’s A Real Fine Mess. The latter received a Juno nomination for Blues Album of the Year and wins for the Blues Album of the Year and Alternative Album of the Year at the 2015 Western Canadian Music Awards.

The band released their debut album Checkered Past in 2013. Their songs have been featured on television shows such as CSI, NCIS: New Orleans, Bitten, Killjoys, The Good Wife, Blue Bloods, and the TV movie Lizzie Borden Took An Axe.

The Harpoonist and the Axe Muderer are Shawn Hall and Matthew Rogers. Additional musicians on the new album include drummer John Raham (The Be Good Tanyas) and keyboardist Geoff Hilhorst (The Deep Dark Woods) as well as singers Dawn Pemberton, Andrina Turenne, Alexa Dirks (Begonia), Ben Rogers, Khari Wendell McClelland, Erik Nielsen and Ricardo Khayatte.
