The Melbourne based, New Zealand-born songwriter and musician is on a North American tour. She is opening for Australian songwriter Paul Kelly.

Cornelius often records and tours under the name Teeth & Tongue. The most recent Teeth & Tongue album is Give Up On Your Health. It’s the act’s fourth full-length.

In a four-star review, The Age described it as “Glacial keys and cracking drums that rise from echoing blank space like the best ’80s synth-pop.” Cornelius released the album last year. Following its release, the record received nominations for a J Award and the Australian Music Prize. It was also named Album of the Week on 3RRR and Feature Album on Double J. Rolling Stone US, The Fader and Lena Dunham’s Lenny magazine all featured the record.

According to Cornelius’ Facebook page, she is currently “focusing on a new solo project under her own name.” The new material is described as “more stripped back, personal and lyrically direct. Her solo performances showcase her voice and songwriting to full effect as she performs new music from her upcoming release, out in late 2017.”
