Peace have unveiled their video for the song “Your Hand in Mine”. The track is off the foursome’s sophomore full-length release, The World is Too Much With Us (Suicide Squeeze).

Directed by Liam Mitchell, the “Your Hand in Mine” video features a tour through East Vancouver streets and into the country by virtue of a magical Commercial Drive telephone booth. Frontman Dan Geddes happens upon the smoke-filled call-kiosk in the midst of a crowded Vancouver night, his voice full of yearning and his face full of despair. People push mindlessly past him until he meets eyes with guitarist Mike Willock, who then guides him into the phone booth and on a mystical journey. Evinced through Geddes’ lovesick lyrics, the video transports the viewer through the foggy, and oftentimes confusing, realm of heartache. His lyrical mastery has even earned him the reputation as Vancouver’s “post-punk poet laureate.”

Watch – Peace, “Your Hand In Mine”:

Peace recorded their latest album in Ladysmith, on Vancouver Island, birthplace of bombshell Pamela Anderson. The new album surges with hypnotic bass lines and intensely tribal drum patterns, soothed over with Geddes’ soulful lyrics.

Catch the punk-rockers with King Tuff in Vancouver on the last stop of their North American tour Dec 7 at  the Waldorf Hotel.

Peace praise:

“Again, they have proven that rock’n’roll can still be interesting, inventive, melodic without feeling washed up and tired. Plus, Geddes knows how to write a hook like no one else.” – Vice

“Peace make music that unfurls like a smoke machine, effecting with subtlety instead of rage, but building to a crescendo that is no less menacing. “Tattoo” takes its time, but that’s the point; it’s a nearly seven-minute atmosphere that’ll sound great at a late-night show, or even better, on Halloween.”  – The Fader
