Stella Donnelly’s Vancouver show cancelled

We were disappointed to learn that the Stella Donnelly show scheduled for Sept. 16 at the Biltmore has been cancelled. As of yet, we haven’t been given a reason. Tickets for the Portland and Seattle shows, scheduled for the 15th and 17th respectively, are still on sale, so likely it’s either border or ticket sales-related.

The Australian singer/songwriter recently released her second album, Flood. It’s influenced in part by Donnelly new pandemic-related leisure activity: bird-watching. The record’s cover features the banded stilt, a nomadic wader native to Australia. A banded stilt also makes an appearance in the video for the title track, where Donnelly and her friends organize a treadmill day. It’s quite cute.

Flood is the follow-up to Donnelly’s debut, Beware of the Dogs, which won Independent Album of the Year and Best Independent Pop Album at Australia’s AIR Awards.
