The second annual LIVE at Squamish festival takes place this weekend, Aug 20 – 21. Metric, Weezer and Girl Talk headline the two-day, two-stage event, which also includes a few other features (see below). To kick-off the festival, organizers have planned a party tonight at the festival site in Squamish.

The free, limited capacity Sound Check party features performances by The Matinée, My!Gay!Husband! and Kuba Oms and the Velvet Revolution.

The show will have guaranteed entrance to onsite campers and the first 1000 people who come onsite. A ticket to the festival isn’t necessary. The venue – Hendrickson Fields & Logger Sports Ground, Squamish, B.C. – opens from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and the beer garden will be open.
