The Jessica Stuart Few have released the first video from their debut full-length album Kid Dream. The album was co-produced by Mishcha Chillak, a hip-hop producer/remixer who has worked with artists such as Sweatshop Union and K-OS. According to the press release, Mischa’s urban influence and Jessica Stuart‘s folk jazz sensibility has resulted in an “epic pop experiment.”
Jessica of The Jessica Stuart Few learned how to play the koto (a traditional Japanese zither with thirteen strings) while living in Nagano, Japan. She features the instrument in a number of compositions on Kid Dream.
The Vancouver-based band performs at the Libra Room on Sunday Aug 14.
