Vancouver fans of The Room rejoice! Tommy Wiseau, writer, director, producer and star of the cult movie sensation will appear live at the Rio Theatre on September 24 for a Q&A session and screening of the most successful worst movie ever made.

The day will begin with “An Intimate Masters Class with Tommy Wiseau: an education into the mysterious mind of the creator”. Wiseau will direct cast and crew live on stage with the winning script from Olio Music Festival’s script contest. Two screenings of The Room plus a Q&A session will follow the Masters class at 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.

Tickets for the events can be purchased here

The Rio’s press release describes The Room as “a melodramatic story of a love triangle that leaves its audience members in hysterics. You have to see it to believe it. An unintentional black comedy about love and passion, betrayal and lies. It depicts the depths of friendship and relationships in one’s life and raises life’s real and most asked question: ‘Can you ever really trust anyone?… Are you ready to see reflections of your life?’ A successful banker, Johnny, is madly in love with his fiancé, Lisa, and plans to be married next month. His plans take a horrid turn when he finds the truth about Lisa and the people surrounding him.”
