Beady Eye kick off North American tour in Vancouver
- by Shadi Maceac
Troublemaker Liam Gallagher, best known for his role as former frontman of British rock band Oasis, will return to Vancouver on November 29 to perform with his band, Beady Eye. The group will be play songs off their debut album, Different Gear, Still Speeding.
The album was released by Dangerbird Records in North America on March 1 and features 13 new songs written by the band and produced by Grammy Award-winning producer Steve Lillywhite (U2, Dave Mathews Band, The Smiths).
Beady Eye’s previous North American live debut resulted in sold-out shows in New York, Chicago, Toronto and Philadelphia.
The Chicago Tribune, who was there for the band’s first American tour date, wrote the following about the show, “You can take the band out of the stadium, but you can’t take the stadium out of the band, and Beady Eye whipped through songs from its debut Different Gear, Still Speeding Saturday with the confidence of a seasoned act with nothing to prove.”
Tickets go on sale July 15 and can be purchased online here
