Safety Not Guaranteed star Aubrey Plaza
Aubrey Plaza first came to our attention as one of the few actual “funny people” in the movie of the same name (read our Funny People movie review). Now she’s starring in the well-reviewed Safety Not Guaranteed, a time travel movie with a twist – or is it an online-personals movie with a time travel twist?

Plaza was also in a recent “Women and Women First” sketch in the IFC comedy show Portlandia, and can regularly be seen in the sitcom Parks and Recreation.
Of Puerto Rican descent, Aubrey Plaza grew up in Wilmingon, Delaware. She moved to New York and attended the New York Film Academy, where she made a short film parodying student films. This was her calling cart into New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. The 25-year-old also took classes at New York’s legendary Upright Citizens Brigade Theater.
