It’s true – Vancouver-raised Seth Rogan, how has made a career out of playing lovable schlubs, plays a superhero in The Green Hornet.
The choice of the Green Hornet as a movie subject is weird enough – a third-tier hero if ever there was one, remembered less even than the Shadow or Doc Savage. And with Rogen as the lead and Michael Gondry directing, The Green Hornet is bound to be at least a little different from your average superhero movie.
Interestingly, the character of the Green Hornet – originally devised for a radio serial – was co-created by Fran Striker, who also came up with the Lone Ranger.
