Video game news digest Nov 18 – Spike TV announces nominees, Call of Duty tops sales
- by Robert Sutherland (@Sutherland604)
- Spike TV has announced the ENTIRE list of nominees for their annual Video Game Awards. Hits like Portal 2, Uncharted 3, Arkham City and many more are in the running and many categories call for votes from gamers. Head over to the official Spike TV Video Games Awards site to cast your vote for your favorites.
- Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 has blown the roof off of day-one sales, topping the $400m in revenue mark. To give back to the men and women that the game is kinda sorta based on, Activision has announced that they will be donating $3 million to it’s own foundation, Call of Duty Endowment. The non-profit helps veterans and current servicemen and women. This is a nice touch by a company that is bringing in big bucks off of war games. I just hope that 2K sports doesn’t follow suit and donate money to the now out-of-work NBA players.
