Born in Sweden but raised (mostly) in Ontario, Canada, Malin Akerman is a versatile actress who has done superhero movies, cable sitcoms and drama, including the new movie The Bang Bang Club.

A former model, Akerman’s previous roles include The Heartbreak Kid, the HBO series The Comeback, the TV comedy short “Children’s Hospital”, and the comic book movie Watchmen. Akerman will play Linda Lovelace in the upcoming movie Inferno, based on the life of the Deep Throat actress.
Malin Akerman is also a singer in the L.A.-based band Petalstones, though the group may be inactive (the last time they checked into their MySpace page was 2008).
