White Lung on London-based Domino, release new single

White Lung has signed to Domino Recording Co., home to the Arctic Monkeys, the Kills, Hot Chip and more.

This follows the release of two full-length and albums and a number of singles on various labels. On her Twitter account (@myszkaway), lead singer Mish Way recently tweeted that a new album would be out this summer.

The Vancouver punk band’s first release with the London-based label is the ferocious single “Drown With the Monster” (check out the live performance video below). The single is officially released April 29.

Way on “Drown With The Monster”: “I was looking at these pieces by Andrea Mary Marshall inThe New Inquiry and there was this quote from her, ‘Toxic Women are toxic to themselves. They are Tragic Heroines who blow dry their own wounds. I aspire to be the opposite.’  This song is about kicking habits and running away with a new distraction. It’s a song about my two biggest vices, but I’d rather drown with the monster than blow dry my wounds.”
