Miranda July’s The Future set to hit screens… when?
People who loved Miranda July’s first film Me and You and Everyone We Know have been waiting eagerly for her follow-up. Well, from the looks of the trailer for her new movie The Future, it looks like the author/director/artist has come through with another film that is quirky, original, and full of heart (though the argument could be made it looks too quirky, and that July is basically playing the same character).
Unfortunately, it looks like the movie won’t be released to North American theatres until July 29, according to indiewire.com. But will audiences be ready to see a mid-summer movie without pirates, superheroes or aliens? Well, it has a cat, so that’s something.
