Boardwalk Empire/Enter the Void star Paz de la Huerta faced the music Sunday by getting smashed. The occasion: the annual Golden Globes awards ceremony in Los Angeles. The Golden Globes, you may recall, are given out by a shadowy conglomerate known as “the Hollywood foreign press”; this year’s nominations received some notoriety earlier this year because, in the category “Best Motion Picture – Comedy or Musical”, you can find the Angelina Jolie/Johnny Depp vehicle The Tourist, one of the worst reviewed movies of the year. (There’s a fine 2004 documentary expose of the Hollywood Foreign Press called The Golden Globes: Hollywood’s Dirty Little Secret.)

Paz also stumbled, slipped out of her dress and was refused entry to a party at Chateau Marmont (which is fine with John Belushi overdosing, but de la Huerta showing up tipsy? We cry racism and sexism!).
