Vancouver duo The Harpoonist and the Axe Murderer played The Imperial on Friday night. Rich Hope opened, with Adrian Mack on drums.

The Harpoonist and the Axe Murderer (aka HAM) features Shawn Hall and Matthew Rogers. Under the Harpoonist moniker, the two released their debut The Blues Can Kill in 2007. Their second album, Checkered Past, was released in 2011.
